Do you want to be a part of an unprecedented effort to enhance local shellfish populations and improve water quality in our bays?
We are growing over 150 million shellfish to help achieve this goal over the next two years, and need your help!

General Volunteer

General volunteers will join CCE Marine Program staff in monitoring, maintaining, and planting shellfish weekly at numerous sites throughout Long Island.*

Lead Volunteer

A Lead Volunteer is a dedicated individual who will to help with daily monitoring of our FLUPSYs at shellfish nursery sites located throughout Nassau and Suffolk County.

*Due to liability and safety concerns, volunteers must be at least 16 years old to participate in the maintenance of FLUPSYs. Approved volunteers under 18 must have a parent/guardian with them at all times.
